Expert-led case study film

Pictet

Pictet asked us to create a case study film on one of their portfolio companies, PolyAI. With filming taking place across two countries and a brief that demanded both investment expertise and creative ambition, we managed every aspect of the production from script through to delivery.

The film

The centrepiece of the production was a green screen shoot in Geneva with Pictet's investment expert. Rather than a conventional studio setup, we used animation and digital effects to build a visual world around them that brings the AI theme to life. It transitions the expert presentation into something that reflects the technology at the heart of the story.

To complement the investment perspective, we also filmed PolyAI's CEO Nikola Mrkšić at the company's London office, giving the audience a direct insight into the business and its partnership with Pictet.

One of our favourite parts of the edit was finding a creative way to work in a clip from PolyAI's campaign featuring British Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay. We were excited to feature it, as it added moments of levity while showing off the cultural reach of the technology PolyAI is building.

At Pictet, we don’t just invest in AI companies.

We invest in long-term themes with the potential to reshape entire industries.

AI is already transforming large technology markets — from around $1 trillion in enterprise software to more than $5 trillion in global IT services.

But one of the most compelling themes today, and one of the strongest convictions in our portfolio, is the digitisation of work. What we call AI for Labour.

Human labour is a $30 trillion global market, and AI is only just beginning to automate and augment it.

Customer service is a clear example of this shift in action.

It is a $400 billion global industry, still dominated by human labour, employing millions of customer service agents and handling billions of interactions every year.

Yet it remains constrained by staffing, slow to innovate, and defined by long hold times and customer frustration.

A natural entry point for AI.

Imagine a scenario where every customer's call is answered instantly, in any language, with no wait times or hold music.

PolyAI is already making that a reality, and is exactly the kind of platform we look for.

Nikola Mrkšić

We started with a simple idea, that enterprises should sound human. So we built a voice agent that understands emotions, slang, dialects. And today it works with over 200 enterprises in over 50 languages and 25 countries, helping them answer calls immediately and helping those enterprises become the best version of themselves in every customer interaction.

Pictet understands what we're doing, and that's why we partner with them. They understand the scale of our ambition, and together we're looking to build something truly category-defining.

Voice Agent

Gordon, what can I do for you?

Gordon Ramsey

I would love a table for tonight.

Chuang Zhu

We are at the start of a new technology supercycle, driven by fundamental paradigm shifts in how work is automated, how enterprises operate, and how value is created in the digital economy.

Our strategy is built to systematically identify, select, and back the platforms capturing these transitions early.

The ones that don't just participate in change but lead it.
