Quickfire interview series

Pictet

Pictet wanted a series of videos for online platforms that were short, engaging and centred around the voices of their experts. We developed a quickfire interview format to do exactly that.

The series

By structuring each interview around rapid-fire questions, we kept the content concise enough for online platforms. We also took a human-storytelling approach, drawing out the candid, energetic responses that drive viewer engagement.

The example featured here spotlights Pictet's Head of Thematic Equities Hans Peter Portner. The format gives their experts the space to show personality with the subject matter, making complex thematic investing accessible and compelling for a wider audience.

Speaker: Hans Peter Portner - Head of Thematic Equities, Pictet Asset Management

Hans Peter Portner

Why thematic investing?

I'm stimulated constantly by the equity markets. At the same time, I have an impact.

Benchmark or agnostic?

Agnostic. Benchmarks are looking backwards while we are looking to the future.

Favourite megatrend?

There are no children of a lesser god. Each of them is very important.

Choose one?

Climate change. It is truly long-term and it has a real impact on us.

Talent or teamwork?

Teamwork. Talent is plentiful, teamwork is scarce.

Your colleagues describe you as...

Patient. And caring.

What breakthroughs will AI bring?

AI will be a major catalyst for fascinating drug discovery.

What question do you get asked the most?

What's the next theme?

So, what's the next theme?

Oh, we’ll have to see.

Chinese translations & vertical format

To maximise the reach of each film, we produced versions in 9:16 for mobile viewing, ensuring they are optimised for handheld devices and the platforms where that format performs best.

We also translated the videos into Chinese, delivering the same content with the same quality for Pictet's audiences in global markets.
